Commercial Driver's License Driver Class B

Job Summary:

Coastal Precast Systems is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class B Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating commercial vehicles to transport goods or materials safely and efficiently while maintaining compliance with all local state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Class B commercial vehicles (such as straight trucks dump trucks or delivery trucks) in a safe and responsible manner
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues
• Load and unload cargo as required ensuring proper handling and securing of items
• Maintain accurate delivery logs mileage records and other required documentation
• Follow all traffic laws safety regulations and company policies
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and pickups

Qualifications:

• Valid Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Current DOT medical card (if required)
• Proven experience operating Class B vehicles preferred
• Ability to lift and move heavy items (typically up to 5075 lbs)
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations
• Good communication and time management skills
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Working Conditions:

• May require long hours early mornings weekends or overtime
• Work involves driving in various weather conditions
• Physical activity including lifting bending and climbing
