We are currently seeking an experienced Drainage Topman to join our team. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership on site overseeing drainage operations and ensuring work is completed safely efficiently and to a high standard.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leading and supervising a team of pipelayers and groundworkers
Setting out levels line and falls using drawings and laser equipment
Overseeing the installation of drainage systems (clay plastic and concrete)
Installing manholes chambers and associated drainage structures
Ensuring correct alignment gradient and quality of all pipework
Coordinating with machine operators and site management
Reading and interpreting drawings and technical specifications
Monitoring progress and resolving on-site issues
Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety regulations
Supporting and mentoring team members on site
REQUIREMENTS:
CSCS Skilled Worker Blue Card (essential)
Confined Spaces Training
CPCS or NPORS Slinger or Dumper ticket
Proven experience as a Drainage Topman or Senior Pipelayer
Strong understanding of drainage systems levels and gradients
Ability to set out and read technical drawings accurately
Previous experience supervising small teams
Good awareness of site health & safety practices
Reliable punctual and able to lead by example
Right to work in the UK
