Job Summary
GROUNDWORKER Deep Drainage
We are seeking experienced Groundworkers with strong deep drainage expertise for a busy housing project in Dover.
This role is ideally suited to operatives who are confident working on deep drainage systems complex installations and below-ground infrastructure.
Key Duties
- Installation ofwater drainage systems including deep drainage runs
- Gullies laterals and manholes installation to specification
- Working in deep trenches ensuring correct benching shoring and safe working practices
- Laying and aligning pipes to correct levels and falls
- Installation of ducting and service crossings
- Confident working around live services using safe digging and avoidance techniques
- Supporting road formation and external works associated with drainage
- Operating dumpers (valid tickets required) to support drainage activities
- Working safely alongside plant and other site operations
- Maintaining a safe clean and organised working environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in deep drainage and groundworks (essential)
- Strong understanding oflevels drainage runs and site drawings
- CSCS Card
- Confinded spaces ticket
- Dumper ticket (preferred)
- Previous experience onhousing or large-scale construction sites
- Good awareness ofhealth & safety particularly working at depth
- Reliable hardworking and proactive attitude
Desirable
- Experience with manhole building and chamber installs
- Additional CPCS/NPORS plant tickets
- CAT & Genny training
