The Head of Delivery in Japan is in charge of the delivery strategy planning and execution for our Japanese Customer base. They will be responsible for both the successful deployment of our AI tools to our customers and the transformation of our organization from a startup model to a consistent scalable scale-up phase ensuring high quality regardless of individual team skills.

Shift Technology Japanは損害保険および生命保険業界における国内有数の企業を顧客として擁しており不正検知から保険金支払の自動化に至るまでAIを活用した多種多様な意思決定支援ツールを提供しています
主な職務内容
- デリバリーガバナンス: 日本リージョンにおける全プロジェクトポートフォリオを統括しデリバリー戦略の策定から実行までをリードします各プロジェクトが定義されたスコープおよび予算内で期限通りにかつ高品質に完了することを責任をもって推進します
- クライアントマネジメント: 主要顧客に対するエグゼクティブレベルのエスカレーション窓口として対応し長期的かつ強固な信頼関係を構築しますまたセールスおよびアカウントチームと密に連携しプリセールスフェーズにおける提案活動や顧客対応を支援します
- オペレーショナルオーバーサイト運用監督: 日々の業務運用全体を俯瞰しリソース配分リスク管理進捗管理を通じてプロジェクトポートフォリオの安定運営を確保します変更管理インシデント管理規制コンプライアンス対応においてベストプラクティスを導入定着させます
- 部門横断的アライメント:データサイエンスエンジニアリングインフラセキュリティなどの各部門ならびに海外拠点と密に連携し製品技術ロードマップとデリバリー計画の整合性を図ります顧客ニーズを的確に把握し運用上の優先順位や意思決定に反映させます
- プロセスの産業化標準化: チーム横断で活用可能な標準化され再現性の高いデリバリーフレームワークおよびプロセスを構築し確実なスケールアップを実現します

Key responsibilities include:
- Delivery Governance: Owning the delivery strategy and execution over the entire project portfolio in the region ensuring projects meet high quality standards and are delivered on time within scope and budget.
- Client Management: Serving as an executive escalation point for key corporate accounts fostering great client relationships and partnering with Sales/Account teams on pre-sales activities.
- Operational Oversight: Securing our portfolio of projects in the region by managing day-to-day operations resource allocation risk management and enforcing best practices for change management incident management and regulatory compliance.
- Cross-functional Alignment: Collaborating with other teams (Data Science Engineering Infrastructure Security etc) and other offices of Shift to align delivery with our product and technology roadmap translating client needs into operational priorities.
- Process Industrialization: Creating cross-team standardized repeatable delivery frameworks and processes that can be scaled Head of Delivery in Japan is responsible for transitioning the organization from a skill-dependent startup model to a scalable enterprise-level delivery engine ensuring consistent high-quality results
- Team & Talent: Leading mentoring scaling and developing Project and Delivery Managers fostering accountability and customer-centricity.
Core expectations:
The ideal candidate must demonstrate a history of transformation and growth experience specifically through:
- Leading complex technology/SaaS delivery programs (like major ERP deployments).
- Managing major corporate accounts.
- Extensive management experience.
- Familiarity with the SaaS industry.
- Bilingual fluency in both English and Japanese (100% fluent).
- Experience working with Japanese customers for foreign employers (not HQd in Japan).
- Familiarity with and regular use of AI technologies.
