About the job:

The GTF USA SIX Sales forms part of the Global Transactional Banking (GTB) division and is an integral part of GTB USAs growth strategy and balance sheet management.

The candidate will help drive the Global Trade Finance business with large corporate clients in the this position the candidate will report to the Head of GTF USA SIX Sales in New York and will be responsible for generating incremental revenue generating relationships manage the day-to-day activities of the Banks Global Trade Finance business focusing on North American corporate clients but also supporting EMEA Asian and Latin American corporates located in the US and through the origination and identification of trade finance opportunities across receivables and supply-chain trade finance Letters of Credit inventory finance borrowing base and ECA and MLA financing. The candidate will implement strategy to develop new products and bring new customers to the trade finance portfolio as well as expand existing SIX (U.S. Corporates) customer relationships with trade solutions. You would be responsible for revenue generation as well as the day-to-day management of resources (budget and P&L) allocated to the Banks trade finance business. You will manage origination structuring and execution of trade finance transactions across products. You will also be responsible for identifying and implementing operational efficiencies as a competitive advantage.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Marketing origination structuring and execution of Trade Finance solutions to BBVAs Global Corporate Clients which include but are not limited to: Letters of Credit (issuance confirmation advising of Letters of Credit Stand-By LCs Documentary Collections etc.)
• Receivables/Payables Finance: Supply Chain Finance / Confirming Receivable Purchase Programs / Factoring / Vendor Factoring Forfaiting / Structured Forfaiting (discount without recourse of instruments of payment such as LCs receivables bills of exchange promissory notes etc.)
• Credit Enhanced Short-Term Facilities: ECAs Private Insurance Multilaterals
• Pre-export Finance
• Silent Guarantees
• Sustainable Trade Finance and Working Capital solutions within the Global Transaction Banking ESG Framework (GTB Sustainability Framework)
• Coordinates with partners across the organization to deliver seamless Trade Finance solutions to clients including but not limited to the following: Global Corporate Clients Legal Compliance Credit Risk Operations and Funding Desk.
• Negotiating credit agreements with corporate clients multilaterals export credit agencies other financial institutions and legal advisors
• Provide advisory support to corporate clients and enforce cross-selling opportunities
• Support team leader in strategic planning and segmentation of industries and clients in US markets
• Support team leader in forecasting and planning of budgetary objectives and portfolio management
• Participate in training support to other team members relationship managers and other product units

Qualifications

• An ideal candidate has 7-10 years of Global Trade Finance sales experience
• Bachelors degree in finance economics or related field. MBA preferred
• Fluent in English (both oral and written)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Global Trade Finance and Working Capital products and business knowledge of ESG framework and experience in structuring ESG Trade and Working Capital solutions is preferred
• Advanced credit training and solid analytical financial background in order to understand and determine the risk and profitability of Trade Finance solutions
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience identifying and leveraging internal resources building and working with cross-bank teams to deliver solutions to clients
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects and transactions and executing the transactions in a bank that has a complex multi-country organization
• Critical skill: Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

With respect to this position in our Houston Office the expected base salary ranges from $150000 to $200000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills training experience education and where applicable certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
