Provide nursing care and diabetes education. Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team. Blood Glucose Monitoring. Patient Support Provides emotional support to relieve anxiety level of pt/family. communicates effectively about pump starts CGM placements. Facilitate letters for school/employment etc. Respond to families as educator of the day. Respond to In-basket messages Special Procedures/Unit Details : Apex knowledge/access. knowledge of diabetes management devices such as insulin pumps glucometers continuous glucose monitors (CGM. Evaluates/documents patients responses to nursing care including pre/post pump starts and CGM placements. Insulin and influenza vaccine.
