R&D Engineer Panelboards

In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABBs success with technology software product and system development. Each day you will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Panelboards chapter primarily supporting the Develop & Care Lighting Panels Agile Team in Bloomfield CT.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Design development and manufacturing implementation of engineering programs that meet business standards and program / product requirements including functional cost reliability manufacturability and safety requirements.
• Understanding and applying relevant processes standards guidelines and requirements including architectural and design constraints.
• Execute designs with solid modeling software (PTC Creo / Windchill) to create models assemblies detailed drawings and BOMs for designs which may include plastic stamped metal and electrically conductive parts.
• Driving the achievement of assigned targets (quality time scope cost) and raising and addressing risks.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of the chapter including to the improvement or development of new capabilities skills technical knowledge performance and/or culture.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicants qualifications and experience this position is expected to pay between $68600 and $109760 annually.
