Job Description
Job Title: CNC Turner (Setter/Operator)
Location: Northampton
Salary: 36400 Overtime
Permanent / Full-Time
We are working with a well-established and busy engineering business in Northampton who are looking to appoint an experienced CNC Turner (Setter/Operator) to join their team. This is a great opportunity to join a stable company offering consistent overtime and a strong team environment.
Due to the location candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own transport.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting operating and programming CNC lathes
- Working with Fanuc controls
- Producing precision components to tight tolerances
- Reading and interpreting 2D engineering drawings
- Machining a range of materials including 316 304 Duplex Titanium and Hastelloy
- Inspecting own work to ensure quality standards are met
Working Hours
- Monday Thursday: 06:00 14:30 or 07:00 15:30
- Friday: 06:00 12:00
- 38 hours per week
- Overtime readily available including Saturdays
The Ideal Candidate (Essential)
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner (Setter/Operator)
- Experience working with Fanuc controls
- Ability to programme set and operate CNC machines independently
- Confident reading and interpreting 2D engineering drawings
- Experience working with a range of materials including stainless steels and specialist alloys
- Ability to inspect own work and work to tight tolerances
- Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification
- Experience within a fast-paced machining environment
- Full UK driving licence and access to own transport
