We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-focused CNC Operator to join our expanding Sheet Metal Department in Campsie site Derry/Londonderry.

As a CNC Operator you will play a key role in the manufacture of modular components for Electrical Switchgear systems. Using advanced Trumpf Punching and Bending machinery you will be responsible for producing high-quality metal components to exact specifications while maintaining the highest standards of safety quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities:

• Set up program and operate CNC Punching and Robotic Bending machines.
• Manufacture precision components for LV & MV switchgear systems.
• Adjust machine settings including speeds and feeds based on technical drawings and specifications.
• Load and unload materials while ensuring dimensional accuracy.
• Carry out detailed quality inspections against 3D models and engineering drawings.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot CNC machinery issues.
• Collaborate with engineering welding and assembly teams to meet production targets.
• Follow all health & safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Maintain accurate machine settings maintenance logs and production records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.

Essential Skills Qualifications/Experience:

• Minimum 1 year experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Strong CNC programming operating and troubleshooting capability.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Experience working with sheet metal fabrication processes.
• Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive approach.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Additional Skills & Experience

Technical training or certification in CNC Welding Automation or related disciplines is preferred. Knowledge of GD&T and material specifications mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and strong communication and teamwork skills would be advantageous in this role.
