Backend Developer

We are looking for a Backend Developer who enjoys building scalable high-performing systems and solving complex technical challenges. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing team delivering modern secure and resilient software solutions.

As a Senior Backend Developer youll play a key role in designing building and maintaining robust backend systems. Youll provide technical leadership contribute to architectural decisions and ensure high-quality delivery across the development lifecycle.

Youll work in an agile environment collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions while maintaining strong development and security standards.

• Design and develop scalable backend solutions and system architectures
• Write clean optimised and maintainable code
• Lead and contribute to technical decision-making and solution design
• Perform analysis development testing and ongoing maintenance
• Support production releases including go-live and post-deployment support
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across environments
• Ensure alignment with development standards security and best practices
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver outcomes
• Contribute to team planning prioritisation and continuous improvement

Qualifications :

• Experience with backend programming languages such as Java Python Ruby or PHP
• Strong experience building RESTful APIs
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (Postgres MongoDB DB2)
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and reactive programming
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments
• Exposure to SecDevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Backend Developer
• Willing and able to obtain a AGSV Security clearance.
