Role Summary:

The Sr. Marketing Strategy Partner is an individual contributor role responsible for shaping and advancing credit union marketing strategy in support of market expansion and market growth initiatives. Serving as a trusted strategic advisor this role partners closely with Sr. and Chief-level leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to inform strategic decision-making through market insights performance data and member behavior Sr. Marketing Strategy Partner plays a leading role in designing and evaluating test-and-learning pilots assessing national market opportunities and translating results into actionable recommendations that guide prioritization investment and scaling decisions. Operating with strong strategic judgement and influence this role ensures marketing strategy is aligned to credit union growth priorities brand standards and long-term business objectives.

What You Will Be Doing:

  1. Serve as a trusted strategic marketing partner to assigned business unit leaders building deep understanding of priorities growth opportunities and business challenges
  2. Lead the development of integrated marketing and go-to-market strategies that align business objectives member needs and credit union growth goals including market expansion
  3. Implement test-and-learn initiatives design pilots evaluation results and translate learnings into strategic recommendations and scalable approaches
  4. Represent Marketing in business unit and strategic planning forums providing insights and recommendations that influence prioritization investment decisions and long-term direction
  5. Drive cross-functional alignment across products digital operations analytics and member experience teams to ensure cohesive strategy development and execution
  6. Translate market research member insights performance data and competitive intelligence into clear strategic recommendations that inform positioning campaign direction and sequencing
  7. Establish success measures and evaluate marketing effectiveness across channels and markets assessing impact against objectives and identifying optimization opportunities and future targets
  8. Partner closely with marketing analytics to ensure strategies are grounded in robust data meaningful performance metrics and business unit goals
  9. Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to the AVP to ensure business unit marketing efforts are aligned prioritized and optimized across the
  10. Function as a subject matter expert for assigned products services and markets by continuously assessing competitive economic and regulatory dynamics and recommending strategic adjustments to positioning and approach
  11. Develop and maintain strategic marketing plans roadmaps and regular executive-ready reporting ensuring alignment with credit union standards brand strategy and business unit goals
  12. Lead complex initiatives with limited supervision managing scope dependencies stakeholder alignment and vendor or agency partners to deliver outcomes on time and within agreed parameters
  13. Coordinate with internal communication teams to ensure organizational awareness alignment and readiness around major marketing initiatives pilots and emerging market efforts

About You:

  1. Demonstrated ability to lead strategic marketing planning and influence business and marketing decisions at the senior and executive level through insight-driven recommendations and executive-ready communication
  2. Strong strategic thinking and critical thinking skills with the ability to translate complex ambiguous business challenges into clear actionable marketing and got-to-market strategies
  3. Ability to exercise independent judgement develop a point of view and confidentially challenge assumptions to improve business and marketing decisions
  4. Proven capability to synthesize market research performance data and competitive intelligence into insights that guide prioritization investment decisions and optimization strategies
  5. Advanced proficiency in leveraging analytics and performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness inform test-and-learn initiatives and shape future strategy in partnership with analytics and data teams
  6. Exceptional communication storytelling and presentation skills with experience delivering concise credible recommendations to Sr. leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  7. Deep understanding of member behavior market dynamics and growth strategies within financial services or similarly regulated complex environments including balancing innovation with risk and compliance considerations
  8. Strong strategic judgment prioritization and decision-making skills in fast-paced evolving environments including national or enterprise-level initiatives
  9. Demonstrated success leading through influence rather than authority aligning and guiding cross-functional teams and external partners toward shared strategic outcomes


Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  1. Bachelors degree in Marketing Business Administration Finance Economics Business Analytics Management Communications or related field; equivalent work experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  2. Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in strategic marketing go-to-market (GTM) strategy business-line marketing or enterprise marketing strategy roles required; experience supporting market entry market expansion or emerging market strategies a plus
  3. Minimum three (3) years experience partnering with Sr. leaders (AVPs VPs executives C-Suite) and influencing strategic decisions priorities or investment outcomes through data-driven recommendations required
  4. Demonstrated experience managing and influencing agency and external partners to deliver against strategic program and campaign objectives timelines and performance expectations
  5. Experience supporting new digital products platforms or innovative growth models including organizational adoption or pilot-to-scale transitions a plus
  6. Experience with CRM platforms and marketing automation software tools strongly preferred
  7. Willingness to travel as required for business needs strategic initiatives and professional development

Full Salary Range:

Renton WA: $100899.62-$168166.03
Lynnwood WA: $94830.47-$158050.78

*While our full pay range is listed most new team members typically start between the minimum and midpoint based on their experience and qualifications. This approach gives room to grow within the role as your career progresses with us!
