The Role:
The People & Culture Business Partner will providea high levelof technical and generalist HR support andaccuratetimelyHR adviceacrossthe business helping to builda highly capable compliant andengagedworkforce across Australia and New Zealand.
Reporting to the People & Culture Manager this rolewill ensure effective interpretation and application of relevant Australian and New Zealand Employment legislationanalyseworkforcedata and metricssupportemployee relationsactivitiesandcontribute tothe wider People & Culture teamstrategy. You will besupportedwith training to equip you tosupport our New Zealand stakeholders.
The role will be responsible foritsown portfolio partnering closely with leaders to support employees and drive strong people outcomes. Acting as a trusted advisorthe rolewill holdregular structuredcatchupswith leaders to proactively manage people risks review workforce insights and trends and collaborate on practical solutions.
This is a genuinely broad and hands-on role suited to someone who is effective in traditional HR practices and enjoys taking on a variety of tasks.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Providetimelyandhands-onsupport toleadersand employees acrossall HRmatters such as employeerelationsindustrial relations applicationofinternalpoliciesandpracticesmetricsandappropriate actionplanslearning and developmentremunerationandreward andrecognition.
Assist with handling workplace incidents grievances complaints andsupport withWorkers Compensation/ACC claimswhererequired.
Attendbimonthly leadership roundtables talent and calibration sessions engagementsurveyactionplanningmeetingsstateorregionbased employee meetingsand performotherad hoc travelto portfolio regionsasrequiredto supporttrainingengagementand alignment.
Maintain strong knowledge ofAustralian and New Zealand employment legislation and potential changes to the employment landscapeto ensure ongoing compliance and risk management.
Support the People & Culture Team in areas including maintenance of developed systems policies and procedures documentation and implementation recruitment and selection support company induction/onboarding performance feedback coordinating and managing training and professional development activities andassist with ad hoc administrationand reporting.
Own and support with various People & Culture projects to progress our internal strategy.
About You:
Tertiary qualifications in HR Business or arelated field coupled with astrongunderstanding of end-to-end HR processespertaining tothe employee lifecycle
Strong understanding of Australian employment legislative framework (essential)
Sound understanding of New Zealand employment legislative framework (preferred)
At least 4 years of previous experience in a similar generalist or business partnering role
Ability to travel acrossAustralia and New Zealandas required
Ability tobuildtrustedrelationships and influenceoutcomes collaborativelyproactivelyand successfullyacross adisperseworkforce
