Technical Services Specialist Associate
About the Role
Our client is seeking a Technical Services Specialist Associate to join the NEM Asset Operations team in Juno Beach this role you will assist senior-level physical real-time desk trader/operators in overseeing our clients and third-party customers generation fleet in real-time markets. You will complete daily recurring shift tasks while building foundational knowledge of power generation economics dispatch characteristics and ISO/RTO protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Support senior traders/operators in monitoring and managing generation assets across multiple real-time markets
- Complete daily recurring shift tasks accurately and efficiently
- Develop and apply knowledge of power generation economics and dispatch characteristics
- Navigate ISO/RTO market portals and protocols including ISO-NE NYISO PJM SERC SPP MISO ERCOT CAISO WECC IESO and AESO
- Assist with transmission reservation and tagging systems
- Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Follow established procedures with strong attention to detail
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelors degree completed or in progress (substantial completion) or equivalent experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating shift (Dupont Schedule)
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel
Preferred Skills
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or Business Administration
- 1 years of experience in generator operations or a control center environment
