Civil Litigation Paralegal

Pay: $36.00 - $40.00 per hour

Location: This is a full-time on-site position in the Natomas area of Sacramento CA. Our team works together in person Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Note: Must have 2 years of plaintiff-side civil litigation experience including hands-on discovery and pleadings experience.

Job Description

• Manage a high-volume civil litigation caseload and help keep cases moving forward
• Support attorneys through all phases of litigation including intake discovery mediation preparation and case resolution
• Draft and respond to discovery pleadings correspondence client emails and formal letters
• Coordinate document collection Bates numbering productions deadlines calendars and case files
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates answer questions and build trust
• Work with vendors opposing counsel and internal team members to move matters forward efficiently
• Maintain accurate records in Clio and internal systems
• Anticipate attorney and client needs while taking ownership of assigned work

Qualifications

• 2 years of plaintiff-side civil litigation experience
• Experience with discovery pleadings document production deadlines and case management
• Mass tort wildfire litigation personal injury or complex plaintiff-side litigation experience preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable speaking with clients in high-stress situations with professionalism and empathy
• Ability to support multiple attorneys and prioritize competing deadlines
• Proficiency with Clio Google Workspace Microsoft Word and Excel
• Friendly reliable detail-oriented and team-focused

  • 4 to 5 years relevant experience: $37 to $38/hour

  • 6 years strong plaintiff litigation/discovery experience: $39 to $40/hour
