What Youll Be Doing (Day to Day)
This is a hands-on estimating role focused on multiple projects.
Youll:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for subdivision and urban development projects
- Review drawings specifications and geotechnical data to identify risks and opportunities
- Build first-principles estimates across earthworks roadworks drainage and utilities
- Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
- Work closely with delivery teams to ensure estimates reflect real construction methodologies
- Participate in tender strategy discussionswhere to push where to protect margin
- Support value engineering and alternative methodologies to improve competitiveness
- Contribute to post-tender handovers so delivery teams start with clarity
Youll be involved from early-stage opportunity through to final submission.

- Can build estimates from first principles not just rely on historical rates
- Are commercially aware and understand the balance between winning work and protecting margin
- Communicate well with both technical teams and leadership
- Enjoy problem-solving and thinking beyond whats shown in the drawings

Typical Project Scope Youll Work On
- Bulk earthworks and site preparation
