Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Enterprise Kubernetes Architect to join a leading enterprise environment in Amsterdam. This role is ideal for a professional with strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills capable of influencing architecture decisions across multiple domains.

As a key member of the platform ecosystem you will act as an ambassador for the central platform team ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices while driving consistency across Kubernetes environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a representative and advocate for the central platform teams architectural guidelines
• Collaborate closely with system architects and domain architects across CIO streams and cluster environments
• Challenge and guide architectural decisions to ensure alignment with enterprise standards
• Design optimize and govern Kubernetes platforms across on-premise and Azure public cloud environments
• Promote standardization scalability and security in container orchestration platforms
• Drive adoption of best practices in Kubernetes architecture and platform engineering
• Support Agile delivery teams with architectural direction and governance
• Provide leadership and influence stakeholders across technical and business teams

Required Skills & Experience

• 68 years of experience in IT with strong focus on cloud and platform architecture
• Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes in enterprise environments
• Proven experience working with both on-premise infrastructure and Microsoft Azure cloud
• Strong understanding of Enterprise Architecture frameworks and principles
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to influence challenge and guide senior architects and engineering teams
• Experience working in complex large-scale enterprise organizations
