Remuneration:$64.96 - $73.02 Super NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

Your part in our UnitingCare team
This position will be working across all four hospitals St Stephens Hospital The Wesley Hospital Buderim Private Hospital or St Andrews War Memorial Hospital would require travelling regularly and base location can be flexible at one of the four hospitals.
The Resuscitation Program Coordinator is responsible for the design coordination planning delivery and evaluation of Advanced Life Support Resuscitation and Deteriorating Patient training programs for adult and paediatric patients at UCH hospitals. The Resuscitation Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the clinical and where required medical workforce are trained and confident in the provision of care to the deteriorating patient and will act as a centralised resource to provide expert clinical deterioration and resuscitation education and training. This position will work closely with the Senior Education Manager Metro and Regional Education Managers and Quality & Safety teams to identify and meet the clinical education needs throughout hospitals in relation to resuscitation and patient deterioration. The role is responsible for promoting clinical excellence and evidence based professional practice across the organisation and reports directly to the Senior Education Manager.
What makes a difference for us
Essential knowledge and experience
- Significant acute clinical experience including advanced clinical assessment and management of a deteriorating patient.
- A minimum of 5 years post registration experience in a Critical Care specialty.
- Experience in the delivery of formal resuscitation education programs and faciltation of simulation-based training
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
- Advanced level communication and interpersonal skills including ability to consult negotiate and maintain relationships with all levels of health professionals and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work within existing fiscal and material resources.
- Demonstrated competency in using electronic information systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively within the hospital education community and across the hospitals.
- Maintain and develop own expertise and knowledge through ongoing commitment to professional development
- Desirable - Previous experience as a Resuscitation Coordinator / Advanced Life Support Instructor
Qualifications / Licences
- Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent
- Registration as a Registered Nurse under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act 2009 with current annual practicing certificate
- Post-graduate qualification in Critical Care (or equivalent) or working towards
- ARC / ACCCN (or equivalent) ALS 1 Instructor Qualification
- Current certification in Adult and Paediatric Advanced Life Support
- Desirable - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
