Job Summary
In addition to requiring a high level of technical expertise within Cognos this role is about understanding the needs of the business the data behind it and how to transform this information into technical solutions that allow the business to make swift informed decisions. Ideal candidates will have expertise in all phases of the software development life cycle in managing a team to build models that scale over time while balancing accuracy flexibility and speed.

Key job responsibilities
Deliver reliable scalable and efficient Cognos solutions by managing all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) including requirements gathering modeling & design development testing deployment integration and documentation.
Partner with peer Finance teams utilizing to ensure consistent design & integration.
Work with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that accelerate cycle times alleviate cumbersome manual processes and ensure financial results are accurate.
Identify process improvement opportunities to drive innovation
Support dimension management metadata design/maintenance ETL development and data validation processes.
Rotational on-call availability for critical systems support
- 5 years of relevant IBM Cognos TM1/Planning Analytics work including system configuration model building and developing reports or dashboards with TM1 experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering MIS or a related field
- Experience in IBM Cognos TM1/Planning Analytics work including system configuration model building and developing reports or dashboards with TM1
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning forecasting and reporting
- Experience working with technical and business stakeholders from global cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of the capabilities and constraints of the SFDC CRM application coupled with a good understanding of HR business processes
- Experience implementing at least two full life cycle SFDC implementations successfully
- Experience in a test-driven and formal QA development environment including development staging production (or equivalent) deployment cycles
- Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment
