Position Summary
The Springfield School District is seeking a collaborative educator to serve as a Title I Academic Interventionist / Literacy Lead Teacher. This position provides targeted reading and mathematics intervention to students needing additional academic support while also supporting building literacy efforts aligned with evidence-based practices and the Minnesota READ Act.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide small-group and individual reading and math intervention for students identified through district assessments.
• Implement evidence-based reading instruction aligned with structured literacy practices.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on assessment data.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support student learning and align interventions with core instruction.
• Participate in MTSS and student support team meetings.
• Support building literacy initiatives and assist staff in implementing effective literacy practices.

Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota teaching license as a teacher of reading special education teacher or a K-6th grade teacher who has completed structured literacy professional development.
• Experience teaching reading and/or mathematics.
• Knowledge of evidence-based literacy and intervention strategies preferred.

Salary/Benefits: Competitive salary starting at $46500-$59300 depending on licensure qualifications experience and educational degree advancement. Salary range is based on the collective bargaining agreement for the 2026-2027 school year.
