Team Lead, HR Support (Bilingual)
Job Summary
This role requires a strong client centric approach coupled with exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills to efficiently and effectively manage competing priorities and time sensitive activities.
This role operates in a hybrid work environment (minimum 3 days per week on site) and includes responsibility for 14 direct reports. Proficiency in French and English both written and verbal communication is required. Additionally the incumbent will require a high level of proficiency in MS Office specifically MS Excel with advanced functions such as vlookups pivot tables etc.
The Team Lead HR Support (Bilingual) will:
Team Leadership & Operational Oversight
Provide day-to-day leadership guidance and workload prioritization while monitoring service levels turnaround times and quality standards across HR Support activities.
Coach train and support team members to ensure consistent application of processes and policies while acting as an escalation point for complex or sensitive inquiries.
Partner with the Manager HR Shared Services on integration activities process planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
HCM (Workday) Data Administration & Governance
Provide hands-on support for Workday HCM data entry and transaction processing while ensuring accuracy and adherence to service-level timelines.
Oversee and support the HR Support team in responding to inquiries guiding use of Job Aids and Microvideos ensuring correct routing of ERP-related questions and monitoring Workday processes to identify and escalate issues.
Maintain data quality and compliance by ensuring employee records align with SOPs and retention policies keeping onboarding processes up to date and reviewing HR reports to identify improvement opportunities.
HR Inquiry Management
Oversee the triaging and resolution of inquiries across English and French HR Support inboxes ensuring efficient accurate handling and appropriate escalation based on defined protocols.
Ensure consistent high-quality communication to employees and leaders with responses aligned to standard guidelines and applicable provincial employment standards.
HR Administration
Oversee preparation and quality review of employment agreements offer letters amendments and employee correspondence while leading HR onboarding and ensuring a seamless new hire experience with accurate documentation tracking and filing.
Ensures the effective management of employee leaves of absence maintaining accurate leave tracking status monitoring accurate record maintenance creating and updating supporting process documentation.
Knowledge Management & Continuous Improvement
Maintain and oversee the HR Shared Services teams shared files trackers and knowledge documents.
Ensure processes job aids and procedures are documented updated and accessible.
Regularly review and update employee and manager resources. Identify opportunities for process efficiencies automation and enhanced user experience.
To be successful as the Team Lead HR Support (Bilingual) you will need:
Completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources is required.
Fluency in both English & French (written & spoken) is required.
5 years experience as HR Business Partner HR operations or HR Shared Services experience including strong exposure to HCM systems (Workday preferred)
2 years of recent leadership experience with demonstrated ability to manage coach and develop successful teams.
Strong knowledge of full-cycle HR functions (compensation benefits HR transactions employee relations systems) and employment legislation applied through best-practice HR service delivery.
Exemplary interpersonal skills and experience in developing strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrates a customer-centric approach to problem-solving and gathers feedback to implement continuous improvements.
Strong project management and effective prioritization skills to manage competing priorities and complete projects within timelines and ensuring all deliverables are met.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare and deliver presentations to leaders at various levels in both English and French.
Extensive experience with HR and payroll systems (ADP required) with advanced MS Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables) and proficiency in MS Office tools.
Strong collaboration and teamwork across HR and other departments to enable operation and successful service delivery.
Ability and flexibility to travel required.
CPHR or similar designation considered an asset.

The base salary for this position is between $70000 - $80000 annually.
This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus commission etc). The actual base salary will vary depending on local market conditions geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge skills qualifications experience and education/training.
