Assisting Hands Home Care Merrillville is currently hiring compassionate and dependable Caregivers Home Care Aides PCAs to provide non-medical in-home care to seniors and adults.

Caregiver Responsibilities

Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing dressing grooming toileting eating walking and transfers
Provide companionship and emotional support
Perform light housekeeping laundry meal preparation and organization
Assist with safe mobility (walker wheelchair etc.)
Provide medication reminders (no administration)
Observe and report changes in client condition
Complete care notes and clock in/out using a mobile app
Follow all agency policies safety guidelines and infection control procedures

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required
At least 1 year of caregiving experience preferred (home care assisted living or long-term care)
CNA experience is a plus but not required
Reliable transportation valid drivers license and auto insurance
Ability to pass a national background check
CPR certification and TB test (or willingness to obtain)
Professional dependable and compassionate
Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and documentation
