Reports To: General Manager Technology
- Lead and coach a team of Buyers responsible for category performance assortments and vendor management
- Set performance objectives support development and build strong merchandising and financial capability
- Develop and execute category strategies that drive sales margin and competitive differentiation
- Own category P&L OpentoBuy budgets pricing strategies and promotional investment
- Analyze trends customer insights and performance to identify growth and optimization opportunities
- Build strategic relationships with key vendors and brand partners
- Negotiate agreements including cost structures promotional funding and program support
- Attend major trade shows and industry events to stay current on industry trends emerging brands and new product opportunities
- Establish assortment and brand strategies aligned to customer needs and financial goals
- Partner with Space Planning Marketing Pricing Supply Chain and Store Operations to ensure strong execution
- Influence senior leadership through datadriven recommendations and clear communication
- Proven experience leading retail categories with a track record of driving sales growth margin improvement and inventory performance
- Strong category and product knowledge with an understanding of customer needs market trends and competitive dynamics
- Solid financial acumen including experience managing category P&L OpentoBuy pricing and promotions
- Demonstrated success negotiating with vendors and building effective longterm partnerships
- Strong communication and presentation skills with comfort engaging and influencing senior leadership
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate category vision into clear executable plans
- Experience in home computing consumer electronics or related categories
- Crossfunctional collaboration with Merchandise Planning Pricing Space Planning Marketing and Supply Chain
- Comfort working with retail analytics and datadriven insights to support decisionmaking
- Experience within a multistore retail environment and exposure to both bricksandmortar and ecommerce
