Your Role
As a Physical Therapy Assistant at Bear Creek Senior Living youll work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist as a vital part of a compassionate team dedicated to enriching the lives of our residents. Your duties will include:
- Providing direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist assisting with treatment interventions and therapeutic exercises
- Assisting in reviewing patients functional needs and reporting observations to the supervising Physical Therapist to support optimal patient outcomes
- Implementing established plans of care as directed by the Physical Therapist incorporating participation by significant others whenever appropriate
- Conducting therapy practice within defined standards of care and in accordance with the Physical Therapists treatment plan
- Directing the assistance of support staff to achieve patients functional goals
- Communicating effectively with the supervising Physical Therapist other professionals and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes
- Following facility and departmental policies and procedures including quality improvement safety environmental and infection control standards
- Documenting treatment sessions patient responses and progress notes; regularly updating documentation and maintaining records as required
- Enhancing professional growth and development of self and others through participation in educational programs in-service meetings and workshops
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current Physical Therapy Assistant license from the state of Colorado
- Knowledge and skills to care for the physical and developmental needs of the population age groups that will be receiving services
- At least one year of experience as a physical therapy assistant preferred
- Ability to remain calm in emergency or crisis situations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act
Pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act the expected compensation range for this position is $33.00 and $39.00 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on experience education and other relevant factors.
