The Strategic Defense Solutions (SDS) portfolio is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer professional to join our team in Sterling this critical role you will be part of an innovative team focused on designing and developing software solutions directly ensuring our customers are prepared for the most vital missions.

This position is located onsite at our Sterling VA site.

What You Will Do:

• Participate on collaborative cross-disciplined integrated product teams often employing agile software development techniques
• Responsible for the full lifecycle of product development from architecture and design through integration test and field support
• Work and learn the highest software engineering process maturity level as recognized by the Software Engineering Institute

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
• Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements
• Experience in Software Engineering including working all phases of the software development lifecycle in an agile environment
• Experience with Software development using C/C Python
• Experience with Configuration Management

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with DevSecOps (Docker Containerization Pipelines Kubernetes)
• Experience with Software Simulation
• Knowledge of IP networking
• Working knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) concepts Communication Systems Aircraft systems and Avionics

The salary range for this role is 75800 USD - 144200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
