What The Role Is

What Youll Be Doing

• Supports and emphasizes the importance of safety and environmental programs and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Assists with the preparation of environmental regulatory reports to local state and federal agencies.
• Recognizes problems informs environmental manager of concerns and helps to resolve them.
• Assists with creation of documents including reports memos graphs charts tables etc.
• Assists in the development and implementation of site-specific programs and procedures including but not limited to SPCC plans.
• Assists with the maintenance of relationships with local and state regulatory agencies.
• Assist Facilities with data input task completion and compliance reviews for Environmental Compliance Management System.
• Assists Facilities with maintaining compliance with site environmental permits.
• Keep the construction and operations management updated on existing or modified environmental regulations that may impact construction or operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Frequent travel to sites is required about 40%

What Youll Bring

• BA/BS in environmental science or related field and/or 4-6 years of relevant experience.
• Requires valid license to operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to operate personnel computer with technical proficiency of standard business software.
• Ability to read write and understand English
• Knowledge in wildlife biology related to renewable energy facilities
• Experience with Federal and state Endangered Species Act(s) Clean Air Act and/or Clean Water Act as related to the construction and operation of renewable energy projects

What Would Be Nice

• DOT Certification for managing hazardous waste is a plus.
• Past experience with Tier II/HMBP (hazardous materials business plans) a plus
