About the Role:

Youre smart. Youre restless. Youve spent years solving complex problems from behind a laptopbuilding decks running models structuring recommendationsand then watching someone else fumble the implementation.

Youre done with that.

We need a Fixer. Someone who can walk into a broken production environment diagnose whats actually wrong (not what the report says is wrong) and fix it. Today. Not next quarter.

What Youll Do:

Think of this as a permanent engagement where you are both the consultant and the client. Youll be tactically deployed into the messiest parts of our operationVehicle Inspection Mechanical Logistics wherever things are stuck slow or quietly falling apart.

Your job is to find the real bottleneck kill it and prove the fix works. Once youve cracked the code youll partner with our Industrial Engineering team to codify the solution and ensure it sticks long-term across the entire organization.

90% Floor / 10% Desk. Desk time is for pulling data to validate what youve already seen with your own eyes not for building reports nobody reads.

The Day-to-Day

The Hunt: Walk the floor. Watch. Ask dumb questions until you find the one that reveals the systemic flaw.

The Fix: Figure out why vehicles are sitting idle or why a 10-minute handoff is taking 45. Then fix it! Re-layout the floor re-sequence the work or scrap the process entirely.

The Bridge: Youll operate at the intersection of high-level strategy and frontline reality. You need to be as comfortable talking to a VP as you are winning over a skeptical technician who has been doing this for 20 years.

The Hand-off:You own the problem from diagnosis through Proof of Concept. Once the fix is validated you hand the blueprint to the Industrial Engineering team to build the permanent guardrails.

What Were Looking For:

We are looking for a rare High IQ / High EQ balance. You need the brainpower to deconstruct a complex system and the social spidey-sense to lead change without formal authority.

The Cred: You can manage people but you know the best way to build trust and influence is to get your hands dirty and provide actionable relief to the frontline workers before telling them to tuck their shirt in or holding them accountable for performance.

The Background: 48 years in Management Consulting Investment Banking PE Ops or a high-growth startup environment where you had to build the plane while flying it.

Systems Thinker: You see the why behind the what. Youd rather have a rough fix running by Friday than a polished proposal by next month.

The Toolkit: You have the analytical chops (SQL Excel Tableau) to prove your impact. You use tools to solve problems not to hide from them.

Who This Is NOT For

If you need a 30-day structured onboarding plan to be effective.

If get on the floor and figure it out sounds stressful rather than like a relief.

If your first instinct is to build a dashboard before youve walked the actual process.

Why Youll Love It at Clutch:

Competitive compensation package with equity options.

Opportunity to have outsized impact in a scaling startup.

A collaborative data-driven culture where your insights directly shape the business.

This is an in-office position working from our Mississauga office.

Employment Type:

New Permanent Full-Time

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary range: $150000 $180000 annually

Benefits: Comprehensive healthcare dental vision prescriptions life insurance and dependent coverage; starting from day 1.

Pay decisions reflect skills performance market benchmarking responsibilities and working conditions.
