Job Summary

The full-time Assistant Dean of Academic Partnerships and Innovation is a senior administrative role responsible for developing managing and sustaining strategic educational community and industry partnerships that advance Seton Hall Universitys College of Human Development Culture and Media s mission student opportunities and reputation.
Reporting to the Dean the Assistant Dean leads initiatives to strengthen recruitment and enrollment pipelines expand clinical internship and experiential learning opportunities support high-profile initiatives that enhance visibility and provide one-of-a-kind experiences that differentiate the CHDCM and accreditation readiness. The position collaborates closely with campus partners including Undergraduate Admissions Graduate Affairs University Advancement faculty and external partners to identify and align partnership activities with institutional strategic priorities accreditation standards and mentorship efforts while serving as a key liaison who articulates the Colleges vision and fosters mutually beneficial relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities:

*Plan and execute strategies to create strengthen and steward partnerships with PreK-12 schools and districts whose programs clubs and activities align with the CHDCM portfolio. Closely liaise with Undergraduate Admissions and Graduate Affairs to strengthen CHDCM-specific and supplemental recruitment efforts.
*Plan and execute strategies to create strengthen and steward community educational and corporate partnerships that yield non-financial benefits (e.g. technology and equipment) and/or create new and innovative experiential learning and clinical placements for students in the College including PreK-12 schools as well as industry/corporate partners.
*Develop support and extend high-profile partnerships that elevate the reputation of the College such as those associated with the Center for Sports Media and WSOU 89.5FM. Leverage relationships with alumni and Deans Advisory Council members to enhance student opportunities including mentorship internships and career development.
*Collaborate with the Dean and other community members to develop and manage entrepreneurial and special programs that enhance the Colleges reputation and support fundraising efforts.
*Develop support and extend the Colleges student mentorship efforts by strategically strengthening connections with graduates and creating non-financial opportunities for alumni to thoughtfully engage with current students faculty and programs.

About the College of Human Development Culture and Media:
Launched in Summer 2023 Seton Halls College of Human Development Culture and Media (CHDCM) embodies the Universitys commitment to pedagogical innovation intellectual ferment and community engagement. Uniting scholars and students from four dynamic departments Communication Media and the Arts; Education Leadership Management and Policy; Educational Studies; and Professional Psychology and Family Therapy the College is the new home of cutting-edge transdisciplinary inquiry into the stickiest problems of our time.

The faculty staff and students of the College seek to improve the human condition by collaborating across distinct fields that uniquely complement one anotherthe arts communication education leadership and mental health. With enrollment at approximately 1550 total students both graduate and undergraduate CHDCM is the second largest college at Seton Hall University with approximately 70 full time faculty and 125 adjunct faculty.

*Masters degree Field of study: College-related field preferred
*1-3 years of professional experience in higher education strongly preferred particularly partnership development and implementation as well as the establishment of enrollment pipelines (whether that be traditional admissions-related or building enrollments in a specific program or activity etc.)
