Job Summary

Records Management / FOIA Specialist

Washington DC (On-site) Full-Time Proposal-Based / Contingent Upon Award

Overview Synertex is seeking a Records Management / FOIA Specialist to support federal records processing FOIA requests and compliance with records management regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Process FOIA and Privacy Act requests
  • Review redact and prepare documents for release
  • Maintain records in compliance with federal regulations
  • Utilize systems such as Salesforce for tracking requests
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to gather responsive records
  • Support records digitization and document management efforts
  • Ensure compliance with NARA and federal records policies

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years of FOIA records management or related experience
  • Experience with:
    • FOIA and Privacy Act processes
    • Records management systems
    • Document review and redaction
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Salesforce experience
  • Records digitization/scanning experience
  • Knowledge of federal records retention policies
  • Preferred certifications: TIL v4; Salesforce Admin; IAPP CIPP/G (Certified Information Privacy Professional - Government)
