Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Pediatric Telemetry Technician to provide continuous cardiac monitoring and support patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role is critical in identifying and responding to cardiac rhythm changes ensuring patient safety and supporting the healthcare team through accurate monitoring and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Cardiac Monitoring & Interpretation
Perform continuous ECG monitoring and analyze cardiac rhythms
Identify arrhythmias and promptly notify appropriate clinical staff
Document cardiac rhythms during emergency and code situations
Patient Monitoring & Response
Respond quickly to monitor alarms and changes in patient condition
Assist in initiating emergency/code procedures as needed
Troubleshoot telemetry and monitoring equipment issues
Electrocardiogram (EKG) Procedures
Perform EKGs with proper electrode placement techniques
Ensure accuracy and quality of ECG recordings
Communication & Documentation
Collaborate effectively with nurses physicians and care teams
Enter and verify physician orders in the system
Retrieve and communicate lab results to appropriate staff
Maintain accurate timely and compliant documentation
Equipment Management
Operate and maintain telemetry and monitoring equipment
Ensure proper functioning and safety of all monitoring systems
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in ECG monitoring and arrhythmia interpretation
Pediatric telemetry experience required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong analytical critical thinking and attention-to-detail skills
