We are looking for aPrincipal Software Engineer Edge Computeto join our team in one of todays most exciting role willreporttoSr Director Software Engineeringand based inSan Jose is a fully on-site in officerole5 days a week.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Design implement and optimize systemlevel and backend services inRustorGo.
• Debug complex issues across services integrations and network layers.
• Build and maintain components that interact withTCP/UDP protocols streaming data sources and realtime systems.
• Collaborate crossfunctionally to integrate with internal and external APIs and services.
• Contribute to strong engineering practices including code reviews documentation and operational readiness.
• Follow disciplinedSDLCprocesses to ensure maintainability reliability and secure delivery.

Skills and Experience:

• At least 10 years of overall programming experience with strong programming experience inRustorGo(or other compiled languages with intent to transition).
• Solid debugging skills across systems boundaries (services integrations networking).
• Strong understanding ofnetwork fundamentals including:
  • TCP/UDP
  • Network latency packet flows connection management
  • Streaming data patterns & backpressure
• Experience working withgitand modern software development workflows.
• Proven ability to work in a disciplined engineering environment (testing CI documentation peer reviews).

Nice to have Skills

• Familiarity withHelm chartsand Kubernetes application deployment.
• Experience withcontainers(Docker container tools) andsecure containers.
• Understanding ofedge security conceptsand secure software practices.
• Exposure toDevOps pipelines CI/CD systems or GitHub Actions / similar tools.
