Performs responsible administrative support real-time investigative support and analytical work in the Crime Center for the Orlando Police Department (OPD). Primary responsibilities include providing research and investigative support during emergency calls for service monitoring crime center cameras for incidents in progress supporting sworn investigators with active investigations and analyzing case reports for crime trends. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Crime Intelligence Analyst Supervisor with major incidents reviewed individually before final submission.
This position is required to work nights weekends and holidays.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Criminal Justice Criminology Sociology or related field with three (3) years experience as a Crime Analyst or Police Research Assistant; or an equivalent combination of education training and experience. Must pass police background investigation which includes polygraph. FDLE Florida Law Enforcement Analyst Training (FLEAT) certificate and/or FDLE Florida Law Enforcement Analyst Academy (FLEAA) certificate preferred.

If this posting indicates a degree is required the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelors degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a masters degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
