The Role

We are seeking an experienced FEL Operator to support underground mining operations on King Island.

You will operate a Volvo L120 front end loader to assist with materials handling load and haul activities and general underground support tasks helping ensure safe and efficient site operations in a remote mining environment.

• FIFO from Major Cities
• Accommodation and meals provided
• Full-time permanent positions

Responsibilities

• Operate Volvo L120 FEL in underground and surface support roles
• Load move and distribute materials aggregates and equipment
• Support shotcrete development and production crews as required
• Carry out daily machine inspections and basic maintenance checks
• Ensure safe operating practices in line with site procedures
• Maintain clean and organised work areas and equipment

Qualifications / Requirements

• Experience operating FELs in mining or heavy industrial environments
• Experience on Volvo L120 or similar loader highly regarded
• Valid tickets/licences as required for mobile plant operations
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
• Australian citizen or permanent resident
• Pass pre-employment medical drug & alcohol screening
• Police clearance within 6 months
