Job Summary
TheK12 Sales Specialistis responsible forbuilding theJonnyPopsbrandpresence and sales success inK12throughtactical execution like tradeshows and events bid process managementsamplesexecution and presentation build.
This individual mustbewilling to roll upher/hissleevesembrace an entrepreneurial spirit to drive growth in the channelbea highly organized driver with strong relationship-building capabilities. The individualshouldhave knowledge of the K12/Education segment including Smart Snackand foodother program guidelinesandkey district sales process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
K12ChannelExecutional Excellence
Attend industry tradeshows (National/State/Local)owning end-to-end booth experience relationship management prospecting pre-event and post-event briefings/recaps and prospect follow-up following.
Supportstrongexisting and new relationshipswithtopNationalSchool againstidentifiedkeystates andschool districtswithmarketing and sales support:providing customized sales support compelling presentationsmarketing activations and programsand effective bid managementin collaboration withbrokers and partners.
Be theK12 channelexpert and POCincludingnational studies guidelines and regulations relevant to trade/news/policy library for the K-12 abreast of new or revised national state and local policy affecting the Food Distribution Program(s).
Partner withdistributors brokersbuying groupsfield salespartnersand internal resourcestoaccomplishsales and effective relationships with brokers and partners by market.
Provide brokers brand and product trainingto succeed in presentations trade/food showsmenu planningtaste tests etc.
Ownrelationships with andutilizeindustry support associationssuch as ACDA SNA State Associations Cool School Café and others for educational opportunities and networking at the same time.
Sales P&L Ownership
OwnK12sales forecasts ensure pricing adherence to company guardrails and ensurestrong communicationwith operations partners to manage inventory of products unique to this channel.
Develop andmaintaintheK12prospect databaseincluding sales strategies being used to reach these prospects.
Collaborate withJonnyPopsSales and Marketing leadership and brokers to set channelobjectivesand prioritiesand drive execution to plan reporting on wins and opportunities.
Implement promotional plansto maximize incremental sales through effective trade and pricing investments.
Delivers against companyobjectives:distribution shelf managementpricingand promotional priorities.
Accepts responsibility for the organizational goalsby taking ownership of new duties andidentifyingnew opportunities within the sales department or total organization.
Minimum Qualifications
3 years in Salesor Marketingfor a CPG company.
Preference to 1 years of experience workingK12channel infood/beverage industrySales or Marketing.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectivelyinfluence.
Bachelors Degree
Excel and PowerPoint Skills; must be competentin creating on brand compelling data-driven sales thinker with the ability to tell a story with data.
Experience in sales planning trademanagementand forecasting.
Develop and manage scope timeline workplanand deliverables for projects; manage incoming project requests andmaintainproject queue
Entrepreneurial-self-sufficient ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced high demand environment with results-oriented mindset
- Willingness to travelfrequently(75%) for customer visits shows and HQ visits with travel variability based on selling season.
Food Safety Requirements:
- Clearly reflect food safety and quality as part of the JP brand when planning and executing projects and while interacting with relevant external stakeholders
- Follow systemwide GMPs when on the manufacturing floor as required of all JP personnel
Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form on bonuses and/or commissions.

Pay: $65000.00 - $80000.00 per year
