What Youll Do job description responsibilities
As a Process Controls Engineer youll be the driving force behind the performance and reliability of our process control systems. Youll collaborate across engineering operations and maintenance to deliver smarter more efficient solutions.
- Lead the day-to-day performance and reliability of the plants Process Control Network
- Partner with instrumentation and maintenance teams to implement automation and system enhancements
- Design and optimize control strategies to improve throughput efficiency and uptime
- Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues alongside cross-functional teams
- Maintain and update system documentation including P&IDs and operating procedures
- Coordinate system upgrades patches and software updates with IT and engineering
- Analyze process data to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Support capital projects by managing process controls and instrumentation scope
- Ensure all systems and processes meet safety environmental and regulatory standards
What You Bring Qualifications Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 3 years of experience in process controls automation or manufacturing environments
- Hands-on expertise with PLCs instrumentation and control system programming
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to manage projects and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- A strong commitment to safety quality and continuous improvement
