Job Summary

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Seattle Childrens Hospital are seeking candidates for four (4) full-time faculty positions (1.0 FTE) at the rank of Assistant Professor without tenure for reasons of funding (WOT) in the Clinician Teacher pathway.

The specific needs for each position:

  • The first position will serve as a psychologist in the field of neurodevelopmental and related disabilities. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver timely Autism Spectrum Disorder/Developmental Disorder assessments support interdisciplinary wraparound care and develop grant-funded community engaged service models.
  • The second position will serve as a psychologist treating high acuity and high-risk adolescents including suicidal youth and those with trauma or behavioral disorders. The successful candidate will be expected to provide and lead intensive programming regarding Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • The third position will serve as a psychologist specializing in evidence based assessment and therapy for children and adolescents with ADHD anxiety sleep issues depression and adjustment concerns. They will provide psychology services in the Seattle Childrens outpatient setting and develop expertise in child and adolescent ADHD research.
  • The fourth position will serve as a psychologist specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder/Developmental Disorder. They will be expected to develop advanced behavioral and cognitive expertise in this area create and lead trainings and provide leadership related to autism biobehavioral programs.

Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-yearappointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June) meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.

All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching research and service.

Job Duties

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide direct clinical care at Seattle Childrens Hospitalclinics and contracted care locations.
  • Provide teaching and mentorship to trainees (students fellows junior faculty) as appropriate and in conjunction with your clinical activities.
  • Take call responsibilities commensurate with other clinically active faculty in the Department.
  • There may be opportunities to work in other settings such as the psychiatry-consultation-liaison service which provides psychiatric consultation to the hospital and emergency department or Partial Hospitalization Program(s).
  • Develop scholarly work.
  • You may have other responsibilities as assigned by the Chair or Service Chief by mutual agreement.

Salary

Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

Other compensation associated with this position may include an incentive through Childrens University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan.

The base salary range for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

The base salary range for someone with a PhD/PsyD for an Assistant Professor position will be $9167 - $10417 monthly ($110004 - $125004 annually).



A PhD or PsyD or foreign equivalent current psychologist licensure and eligibility for a Washington State psychologist license.
