Key Responsibilities

Directs a mechanical engineering group responsible for the design development and implementation of complete engineering programs for the Panel CMP KPU in accordance with project budgets and release schedules. Responsible for professional development team building defining organizational roles hiring and retention.

Works with senior business group management team to ensure that such programs strategies and processes are aligned with the organizations direction

Anticipates future needs and initiates the development and implementation of new approaches to mechanical engineering design and development

Interfaces with internal and external customers on unusually complex mechanical engineering issues to address customers High Value Problems (HVP) for the units product line

Develops long-range plans and creates mechanical engineering or product specific strategies to reach goals and reviews engineering specifications

Defines performance metrics and reports on the mechanical engineering groups progress against specific goals

Provides approval guidelines and leadership to reporting engineering managers in the area of long-term program strategy and process design

Assures that a full range of technical reviews are held for the units product line

• Negotiates and influences the opinions of others at the senior executive level and in external organizations; exercises sensitivity to the audience

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location hire grade job-related knowledge skills experience and with consideration of internal equity of our current team addition to a comprehensive benefits package candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program as applicable.

For all sales roles the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
