About the Role
We are seeking a caring and attentive Assistant Infant Teacher to support our infant classroom. This role works closely with the Lead Teacher to provide a safe nurturing and responsive environment for infants during their earliest stages of development.
The ideal candidate is patient dependable and passionate about infant care and early childhood development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher with daily infant care routines including feeding diapering and soothing.
- Help maintain a safe clean and sanitized classroom environment.
- Support infants during nap schedules bottle feeding and daily care routines.
- Engage in age-appropriate sensory and developmental activities.
- Observe and respond to infants needs cues and behaviors.
- Ensure constant supervision and a calm nurturing environment.
- Assist with preparing and organizing classroom materials.
- Follow all health safety and licensing regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with infants in a childcare or early learning setting preferred.
- Basic understanding of infant care and early development.
- Strong communication teamwork and organizational skills.
- Patient reliable and attentive to childrens needs.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a daycare infant room or early childhood program.
- Knowledge of responsive caregiving and infant development practices.
- Ability to maintain a calm consistent and nurturing environment.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
