SUMMARY:
The incumbent in this role is the key liasion for several cross-functional teams and external agency partners in the planning and execution of store openings renovations and marquee sales eventsensuring a cohesive and impactful marketing experience across all touchpoints both online and offline. The incumbent must have the ability to demonstrate strong collaboration financial discipline and a commitment to brand excellence across every consumer interaction for our Food Basics banner.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic Brand Building: Guide the team in execute compelling brand-building initiatives and fully integrated 360 promotional campaigns. Ensure all activities are rooted in relevant consumer and industry insights to maximise impact and relevance.
- Develop and Create revenue generating programs: Developing and reviewing the market while challenging status quo presenting new programs to Senior Leaders and implementing new programs.
- Creative Brief Development:Draft briefs for all Food Basics brand initiatives including seasonal campaigns ethnic marketing programs and national-level activations for final review by the Senior Manager.
- Special Matter Expert for the cross-functional teams in the planning and execution of store openings and renovations: Overseeing all aspects of the marketing experiencefrom pre-launch media campaigns and community engagement to in-store activation and event managementto ensure consistent brand expression and a seamless customer experience.
- Support and ensure delivery of consumer promotions and sales events: including the continued evolution of Food Basics marquee events through the development of integrated marketing plans. This includes close collaboration with in-store teams and vendor partners to maximize trade participation enhance shopper engagement and unlock retail monetization opportunities.
- Brand Stewardship: Serve as the internal brand champion safeguarding the integrity of brand guidelines across all touchpointsincluding in-store elements advertising assets and partner promotional materials. The primary point of contact for agency partners ensuring clear direction proper allocation of work and delivery against quality and timing.
- Budget Leadership: Support the Director by leading the period budget planning process for the Food Basics banner for all assigned budget lines ensuring accurate consolidation and alignment throughout the fiscal year. Maintain adherence to financial auditing protocols and support the team in meeting compliance standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner closely with Marketing Support Services (Customer Experience Shopper Marketing Promotional Advertising) Communications Ecommerce Loyalty and Digital teams to deliver high-impact integrated campaigns. Proactively share information and updates with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain regular communication with senior stakeholders to gather timely feedback and secure approvals in accordance with established action plans.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-College diploma or University Degree
- 3 - 5 years brand marketing experience. Grocery Retail would be considered an asset
- Strong influential and project management skill required
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to build clearly articulated and influential presentations
- Proficent in MS Office proficient in power point is required
- Must have the ability to collaborate and provide support in managing several project budgets totalling over $1M
