The Village Baxter is seeking a Compliance Risk & Support Manager to join our team and help strengthen our safety risk and operational systems while directly supporting our mission to make a positive difference in the lives of older people.
Working closely with the CEO People & Culture (HR) Manager and Business Manager this role is central to maintaining organisational safety compliance and continuity across multiple key functions. You will lead our WHS and Return to Work programs oversee risk and compliance frameworks and step into frontline leadership roles when required to support business continuity.
About the RoleKey areas of responsibility include:
- Leading the organisation-wide WHS program and ensuring compliance with Victorian legislation.
- Acting as Return to Work Coordinator and supporting injured workers with compassion and professionalism.
- Coordinating enterprise risk management compliance monitoring and audit support.
- Providing business continuity support by stepping into operational leadership roles (Sales Village Finance/Business People & Culture) during periods of leave.
- Maintaining contractor compliance supporting financial/risk analysis and strengthening internal systems.
- Contributing to strategic projects and organisational improvement initiatives.
Note that this is a full-time role working on-site in Frankston South Monday to Friday 8am4pm.
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential
- Qualifications in WHS and/or Risk Management
- Accounting or financial qualification ideally degree-level
- Demonstrated WHS and RTW experience
- Strong regulatory compliance knowledge
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder capability
- High attention to detail and analytical strength
- Ability to step into operational leadership roles as needed
- Unrestricted full drivers licence

Desirable
- Relevant experience in the aged care / health sector
Selection Criteria
Applicants are asked to address the following five selection criteria in their application:
- Demonstrated leadership in Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) and Return to Work (RTW) including compliance with Victorian WHS legislation incident management hazard identification and coordinating supportive and appropriate RTW plans.
- Proven experience managing risk and compliance frameworks within a highly regulated environment including risk registers compliance monitoring policy review cycles audits and contractor compliance.
- Financial acumen and experience applying accounting/financial analysis to risk compliance WHS and operational decisionmaking (financial qualification required).
- Experience contributing to operational continuity by stepping into cross-functional leadership roles (e.g. Sales Village Operations Finance/Business People & Culture) and maintaining service quality during leave coverage.
- Strong communication stakeholder management and values alignment including the ability to work calmly under pressure maintain high integrity collaborate effectively across diverse teams and show genuine commitment to making a positive difference for older Australians.
