Tutor Doctor provides personalized one-on-one tutoring to help students build confidence and succeed academically. We match tutors with students based on their needs and learning styles creating a customized and supportive experience for every family. Tutor Doctor is seeking a patient engaging K8 Tutor to work one-on-one with students in the Carlsbad and Oceanside area. This is a flexible part-time role ideal for someone who enjoys working with younger students and helping them build strong academic foundations in a supportive environment.

We are especially interested in candidates with experience in elementary and middle school math and reading and certified teachers and/or tutors are highly encouraged to apply.

What Youll Do

• Provide one-on-one tutoring in math and/or reading and other subjects for K8 students

• Support foundational skills homework completion and study habits

• Adapt lessons to each students learning style and pace

• Build confidence and create a positive encouraging learning environment

• Communicate progress and key updates after each session via session reports

What Were Looking For

• Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students preferred

• Patient positive and engaging teaching style

• Strong communication skills with both students and parents

• Organized and reliable especially with session reporting

• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule

• Teaching credential (preferred but not required)

• Bachelors degree or currently pursuing one (preferred)

• Reliable transportation required

• Clear background check

Pay: $22$27/hour
Schedule: 210 hours per week (primarily after school and weekends)
Location: In-home tutoring in Carlsbad and Oceanside
