Your Day-to-Day

As a Learning Specialist youll have the opportunity to:

• Manage a Small Caseload: Work with students who have mild to moderate needs providing direct and indirect instruction aligned to each students IEP goals
• Adapt General Education Content: Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure inclusive accessible learning for all students making modifications as needed
• Collaborate with a Support Team: Work closely with other specialists including psychologists OT PT speech therapists and service providers to align supports and interventions for students with disabilities
• Lead the IEP Process: Write IEP plans track student progress and facilitate family meetings to ensure strong communication and collaboration
• Ensure Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with Colorado special education laws (C.R.S.) and federal regulations (IDEA)
• Serve as a Resource for Staff: Provide technical support for staff regarding IEP strategies accommodations and modifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Colorado Special Education license or endorsement (required)
• Experience managing IEPs and supporting students with disabilities in K12 settings
• Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to plan and document effectively while maintaining compliance
• Satisfactory background and reference checks to ensure safety and security
