We are seeking an Inclusion Specialist to support our recreation programs by ensuring that participants of all abilities can fully engage in safe ageappropriate this role you will work directly with staff families and community partners to design coordinate and support individualized inclusion solutions that reflect best practices and ADA guidelines.
What Youll Do
Conduct recreation and accessibility assessments to determine the appropriate supports needed for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Collaborate with families program staff and external partners to create individualized inclusion plans.
Serve as the primary liaison to ensure effective communication between participants caregivers educators healthcare providers and City staff.
Provide general and individualized training to staff on supporting participants with disabilities.
Coordinate staffing plans and adaptive equipment to support participant needs.
Review facility accessibility and provide recommendations for ADA and Title II compliance.
Stay current on disability inclusion best practices and interpret relevant federal and state laws.
Prepare monthly program reports and support broader inclusion initiatives as assigned.

Workload & Schedule
This position follows a seasonal schedule:
OffSeason (SeptemberApril): 510 hours per week with highly flexible scheduling.
Peak Season (MayAugust): 2535 hours per week; daytime availability required typically 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. during summer camp programs.
Mandatory Training: One weeklong evening training in May (typically the week prior to Memorial Day).
Minimum Qualifications
U.S. Citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker
Valid Missouri drivers license
Ability to work nights weekends holidays or irregular hours as needed
Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR certification
Ukeru TraintheTrainer Certification (or ability to obtain within six months)
Strong communication organization and timemanagement skills
Ability to safely participate in recreation environments including lifting/moving over 50 lbs. and engaging in crisis intervention
