Job Description:
As a Director Media Strategy you will serve as a key driver of the strategic relationship and deliverables for key client(s). Reporting into senior leadership you will articulate business objectives generate key communication and media insights uncover cultural truths design media briefs inspire creative media solutions lead media ideation and develop strategic POVs and go-to-market activations. You will be instrumental in key agency initiatives including thought leadership POVs award submissions and participation in new business efforts.
You Will:
Strategically lead day-to-day strategic work for client(s)
Stay on the pulse of what is happening in category culture and media to uncover opportunities that unlock a strategic advantage
Guide how audiences will contribute to achieving the overall business goals
Translate audience data into meaningful insights that unlock deeper consumer understanding
Consistently monitor competitive activity to identify white space and unique ownable opportunities that break category norms
Skillfully craft a compelling strategic narrative that unlocks new opportunities for the brand
Architect the comms framework that will guide media planning choices and measurement framework
Identify the strategic role media can play in overcoming barriers along the customer journey; partner with teams to apply strategic media principles through planning and activation
Lead/facilitate brainstorms and ideation sessions that challenge teams to develop innovative media & comms solutions
Closely partner with internal teams as well as media vendors and creative agency to ensure strategy is brought to life and delivers on goals
Evaluate communication opportunities and provide sound recommendations as appropriate
Contribute to agency thought leadership; provide proactive thought leadership outreach to clients
Contribute to the strategic component of new business pitches
Proactively seek out opportunities to make the work better in a collaborative way
You Have:
Bachelors Degree
7 years experience in Communications Strategy or Strategic Media Planning with a proven record of achievement and impact
Understanding of multiple communications channels and their role in brand marketing
Experience translating data into insights
Strategic thinking abilities with balanced analytical and creative approach to holistic and tactical media planning
Strong verbal and visual storytelling skills and ability to communicate ideas and plans effectively
Experience managing client relationships and collaborating acrossteams andorganizations
Commitment to delivering creative media solutions and award winning work
Strong team feedback (direct reports and collaborative team partners)
Comfortability participating in business development activities includingagencypitches
Experience with syndicated research and social listening toolsfor example: GWI Netbase Simmons/MRI Kantar Mintel
The annual salary range for this position is $113K-$160K. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience knowledge skills and other factors permitted by law.

Dentsu may designate other Hub offices at any time. Those who live outside a commutable range may be designated as remote depending on the role and business needs.
