Urgent care sometimes known as walk-in care fast care or express care is a convenient option for patients who require timely medical care but the situation is not an emergency. We treat adults and children ages 3 and older and provide care for a wide range of illnesses and injuries including allergies asthma coughs bronchitis colds flu COVID-19 fever headache broken bones sprains and strains eye and ear infections rashes cuts sexually transmitted infections stomach pain diarrhea and vomiting. Because patients typically come to us when they arent feeling their best it is incredibly important to us that our staff members strive to provide the compassion and emotional support our patients need.

We are seeking a part-time 25-hour RN to work 2 12.5-hour shifts (8:30am to 9:00pm) per week onsite at our Urgent Care center located at 480 Lynnfield Street 1A Lynn MA 01904. Since Urgent Care is a 7-day-per-week operation that delivers care during the day evening weekends and holidays the schedule for this role will require 1 on-call shifts per 4-week scheduling period as well as overtime weekend and holiday coverage as needed.

Job Summary

Summary

Responsible for patient care and support within our hospitals outpatient setting through providing compassionate care assisting in procedures and collaborating effectively in a dynamic ambulatory care environment.

Essential Functions

-Deliver direct patient care and support in our ambulatory care unit ensuring high nursing standards.
-Conduct patient assessments devise care plans and assist in outpatient procedures with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
-Educate patients and families on treatment plans medications and post-procedure care.
-Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
-Administer medications perform IV therapy and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
-Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.


Qualifications

Education

  • Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred

Licensure and Certifications

  • Registered Nurse in the state of Massachusetts required

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred

Experience

  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical nursing experience required

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient knowledge of nursing principles practices and procedures.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.

  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development.

  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and healthcare technologies.


Additional Job Details (if applicable)

Due to the nature of this fast-paced setting prior experience in the following are strongly preferred:

  • Urgent care and/or ER experience

  • Blood draw experience and IV placement skills

  • 1-2 years in ambulatory care or outpatient experience
