About the company

Remote World is partnering with a UK challenger bank targeting freelancers and contractors a UK-based employer to hire for this role. They offer current accounts invoicing and tax-saving features built specifically for self-employed people and theyre growing at 15000 new accounts per month.

The role

Youll build the automated testing layer that keeps the banks core financial flows working reliably as the product evolves quickly. Working with developers and QA leads youll implement end-to-end tests integrate them into the CI pipeline and reduce the amount of manual testing needed before each release.

What youll do

• Build and maintain end-to-end tests using Playwright
• Implement API contract tests for the banking microservices
• Integrate automated tests into the GitHub Actions CI pipeline
• Triage flaky tests and improve overall test suite reliability
• Contribute to the QA strategy for new payment and compliance features

What youll need

• Experience with Playwright Selenium or a similar E2E framework
• Familiarity with API testing and contract testing tools
• Proficiency in Java or JavaScript for writing automated tests
• Experience integrating tests into a CI/CD pipeline
• Good async written communication and clear bug reporting

Nice to have

• Experience testing financial or regulated applications
• Familiarity with chaos engineering or resilience testing tools
