Experiences and skillsyoulluse to solve:

As anAssociate youll work as part of a team of problem solvers helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this level will be focused on insurance claim quantification and include but are not limited to:

  • Consult with claimants/policyholders counsel and representatives of insurance companies;

  • Determinefinancial informationto assess the loss/claim;

  • Research and investigate company or industry information related to the claim as;

  • Prepare detailed analysis of accounting records and other personal and corporate financial information including the identification of unusual or unreasonable amountsand/orerrors;

  • Determinewhat type of financial analysis to prepare depending on the type of loss/claim;

  • Prepare financial models forecasting out the projected incomeabsent the loss/claim;

  • Prepare analysis ofactualperformance againstthatprojectedidentifyingspecificareasthat wereimpactedas a result ofthe loss/claim;

  • Present analysis and researchusing MicrosoftSuiteandvarious other internal software; and

  • Assistin the preparation and presentation of loss quantification reports and/or loss review (critique) to lawyers (both plaintiff and defense counsel) and/or insurance adjusters/claims managers.

Whatyoullbring to this role:

  • Enrolled in or completed post-secondary education and will have all Canadian CPAprerequisite courses completed prior to full-time start date.

  • Solid understanding of accountingand taxconcepts.

  • Strong research skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulateissues andideas.

  • Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills; an ability to think broadly and to ask questions about datafactsand other information to deliver quality to our clients.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines on multiple engagements simultaneously.

  • An interest inupskilling fora digital world and technology trends an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work.

  • Share and collaborate effectively with others building relationships which are genuine and rooted in trust.

  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside and/or coaching diverse people and perspectives.

  • Comfortable travelling to cities acrossCanada(whendeemedsafe to do so by applicable public health or regulatory authorities and PwC).Dependent on client needs (if necessary).
