Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to recruit (throughmatriculation) students most likely to become successful throughgraduation. This position will support the outreach mission of theAdmission Office through maintenance of a full schedule of visits tohigh schools and/or community and technical colleges andcoordination of comprehensive recruitment plans and relationshipbuilding activities for an assigned territory. Responsibilities willinclude college fairs and/or transfer student success days highschool and/or community and technical college visits careerprograms recruitment of targeted populations and meeting with andpresenting to prospective students on campus.


Responsibilities
1. Manage the recruitment activities for an assigned territory(70%)

  • Identify students in the assigned territory who may beacceptable candidates for the University and engage themin the admissions process through a consistent effort ofpersonal contact.

  • Manage enrollment funnel in the assigned territory bymoving students from inquiry to applicant to admittedstudent to enrollment.

  • Provide proactive thorough and timely information tostudents about the admission process financial aid andcosts academic program and student experience.

  • Work with the rest of the admissions staff to develop theannual recruitment plan including the annual calendar ofadmissions events and implement activities and events asassigned.

  • Assess the effectiveness of various recruitment tactics andinitiate new activities and programs to support theachievement of enrollment goals.

2. Present to and meet with prospective students (20%)

  • Conduct engaging and effective campus visits forindividuals and groups.

  • Make presentations to groups including College Access Groups who are visiting campus.

  • Handle telephone email and in person inquiries from prospective students and their family members.

3. Assist with other duties and projects as assigned by the Director and/or Associate Directors of Admissions (10%).

Salary Range: $47788 - $78458/annually

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree completed upon hire

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Public presentation skills

  • Evidence of the ability to work with people from culturally diverse backgrounds.

  • Drivers License

Preferred Qualification

  • Masters degree in higher education college counseling or related program

  • Knowledge and understanding of higher education systems

  • Professional experience in admissions or marketing

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Other Requirements

Work Shift (Hours / Days of work)

Varies. 40-hour week in an office setting. This position will have a primary work site of the St. Cloud main campus. Travel to other sites occasionalevening and weekend work and occasional overnight travel areexpected.
