Western National is seeking a Senior Claims Support Specialist to join our team! The individual in this role will have the opportunity to provide administrative and clerical support to our Claims Team.
What are the responsibilities and opportunities of this role
- Keeps accurate and current records in designated systems that are accessible to others.
- Serves as a subject matter expert for other support staff providing technical training as needed.
- Updates reports prints checks and understands relevant information.
- Seeks relevant information and answers to key questions from defined sources.
- Receives supervision on non-routine issues and tasks.
- Applies knowledge to help solve problems of relatively limited scope and complexity.
- Follows established procedures with limited discretion to vary from said procedures.
- Contacts other internal departments and team members.
- Answers incoming customer calls for the department.
- Communicates primarily on task- or learning-related matters creating and delivering a variety of messages and information.
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
What are the must-have qualifications for a candidate
- Good communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to pay attention to details.
- Ability to follow process.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient use of various core systems office and computer equipment and software packages.
What will our ideal candidate have
- Prior experience in property-and-casualty claims.
Compensation overview
The full hiring range for this role is $23.25 $30.69 hourly. However the base pay offered may vary depending on the job-related knowledge skills credentials and experience of each candidate as well as other factors such as the scope and location of the role. Candidates looking for compensation outside of the posted range are encouraged to apply and will be considered based on their individual qualifications and / or may be considered for other positions.
