Position Summary:Core content curriculumcreationimplementationand delivery in the classroom

Position Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where studentshave the opportunity tofulfill their potential for intellectualphysicaland psychological growth

• Creates and implements instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged inmeaningful learning experiences

• Update andmaintainall necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws districtpoliciesand school regulations

• Identifies selects andmodifiesinstructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds learning styles and special needs

• Maintainsdisciplinein accordance withthe rules and disciplinary systems of the school

• Communicates effectively bothverballyand in writing with students parents and other professionals on a regular basis.

• Models professional and ethical standards when dealing with students parents peers and community.

• Ensures that student growth and achievement is continuous andappropriate forage group subject area and/or program classification.

• Communicatesnecessary information regularly to students colleagues and parentsregardingstudent progress and student needs

• Adheres to all company policiesproceduresand business ethic codes

• Other duties as assigned

KnowledgeSkills and Abilities

• Bachelors Degree in relevant subject area

• Strong classroom management skillsrequired

• Highly organized; flexible in meeting the needs of boarding students and their families;

• Ability to create lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse student population

• Technologically savvy

Preferred Skills

• Masters degree in relevant subject area

• Former student athlete

• International education experience

• Experience working with student athletes

• NCAA Compliance experience

• Bilingual

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Ability to lift movepushand pull equipment or boxesin excess of40lbs.

• Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.

• Must be able to move around campus which includes gym turf fields etc.

• Ability to work flexible hours to include nights weekends and holidays isrequired
