The Opportunity:
This is a General Manager role with full accountability for the performance growth andleadership of the Service & Projects Division.
Reporting directly to the President you will operate as the leader of this business unit responsible for driving revenue building the team strengthening client relationships and creating the systems required to scale.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to run a business within a business and ismotivated by building something meaningful.
What You Own:
- Full division P&L and financial performance
- Revenue growth and client development strategy
- Team structure leadership and succession planning
- Operational systems and execution standards
- Preconstruction approach and project strategy
Growth Mandate:
- Grow division revenue through strong client relationships and repeat work
- Position Leading Edge as the preferred electrical partner in our market
- Build internal capacity through hiring development and leadership
- Implement scalable systems that support sustainable growth
- Reduce reliance on the President for day-to-day operations
What Success Looks Like:
- Consistent year-over-year revenue and profit growth
- Strong predictable gross margins across service and projects
- High client retention and referral rates
- A capable leadership team operating independently
- Clear systems accountability and performance visibility
- A division that runs smoothly without constant oversight
Core Responsibilities:
1. Business Leadership & P&L Ownership
- Own revenue margin and overall financial performance
- Set annual targets and drive execution against them
- Build and manage performance dashboards and KPIs
- Ensure financial discipline across projects and service work
2. Team Leadership & Development
- Build lead and develop Project Managers Estimators and Coordinators
- Establish clear roles expectations and accountability
- Implement structured onboarding training and development plans
- Develop future leaders within the division
3. Client Relationships & Growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners
- Identify opportunities within existing accounts
- Lead strategic conversations and long-term client planning
- Ensure a consistently high level of service delivery
4. Preconstruction & Project Execution
- Oversee project lifecycle from opportunity to close-out
- Ensure accuracy in estimating pricing and scope
- Maintain visibility on pipeline and labour forecasting
- Ensure strong project controls documentation and execution
5. Systems & Operational Excellence
- Build repeatable processes that support scaling
- Improve reporting forecasting and operational visibility
- Align field and office teams for smoother execution
- Continuously improve workflows and reduce friction
Required Experience:
- 15 years in commercial electrical construction
- Strong background in service work and tenant improvements
- Experience leading teams and developing people
- Proven ability to manage or influence financial performance
- Deep understanding of project delivery and preconstruction

Compensation
Total Compensation: $150000 $200000 CAD
Performance-based incentives tied to division growth and profitability
